Andrea Martin and Michael T. Weiss will be among the stars of the Huntington Theater Company’s 2005-2006 season. The Huntington will present five mainstage productions at its Boston University Theatre, including works by Tom Stoppard, Wendy Wasserstein, and Stephen Sondheim, as well as two productions at the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.

The mainstage season will begin with Stoppard’s Tony Award-winning drama The Real Thing, directed by Evan Yionoulis, September 9-October 9. It will be followed by two more Tony-winning dramas: Wendy Wasserstein’s The Sisters Rosensweig, directed by Nicholas Martin and starring Tony Award winner Andrea Martin, will run November 4-December 4; and Christopher Hampton’s Les Liaisons Dangereuses, starring Michael T. Weiss and directed by Daniel Goldstein, will play January 6-February 5.

Up next on the main stage will be the East Coast premiere of Mat Smart’s The Hopper Collection, about an unhappily married couple facing a difficult decision (March 3-April 2). Set to conclude the main stage series is a revival of Sondheim’s 1962 musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, directed by Nicholas Martin (May 12-June 11).

The Calderwood will house the world premieres of Stephen Belber’s drama Carol Mulroney (October 14-November 20) and Obie winner Marc Wolf’s solo show The Road Home: Re-Membering America, directed by David Schweizer (March 24-April 30).
