I was wondering how many of you go to the polls and vote?

I have NEVER in my life cared to register until recently. Some emails that I have received and things I have heard .... last week I filled out the papers and sent them in. I WILL vote for the first time ever come November and I hope you will all do the same!

I voted last election and lost  . But hopefully, this time things will change. I'm part of the lower class and I've gotta say it's so hard on us. Just last week, I paid $100 more on griceries than I did a year ago. But I'm mostly worried about our troops. I really don't mind the other issues. just worry about the repercusions of this war. I don't want to see Vietnam all over again or worse. My dad was a Vietnam vet and what he told me, it's scary how these guys and girls go through and then have to come back to families who don't understand what they went through. I pray for them all the time.

I have an issue with voting right now, lol. Maybe it's redirected anger, who knows? I don't do well with my choices of choosing the lesser of two evils. Some situations they are equal and I just can't in good conscious stomach just picking when I don't like any equally.
So, that's my outlook...lol

I'm not a voter either ~ I know absolutely nothing about politics and I refuse to vote for something I am not familiar with just because it's expected.

I guess we are lucky that we dont live in countries like South Africa where they are told who their presidents are, or those who are under Military rule.

Guess we are lucky to be able to have some say or a choice.

I've tried sooooo hard to stay apolitical, but when somebody gets around me talking about it, it feuls me up. I think all politics are crooks, but I'd rather have an honest crook than a crook who hides his evil and claims everyone else who is againt him evil. It sicknes me how these guys sling mud. They sound like children telling on each other.

Albeight I am out of USA,I have your favorite,I tell you directly I am not republican,I apologize for my honesty.I know your way of voting, here voting proceed, that we go to voting room, and we get voting card where are candidates, then we go to voting booth and mark our canditate. Then we clap that to ballot box and all voting is behind us.Then election comitee sum all votes from all township and declare result.Bibi
PS: I vote of course, because my voting room is in  my ex elementar school and she is far from our house perhaps 50 metres

Ok.. I know what I said before...but I have to say... I can't stand Sarah Palin! Add to that the Republicans "Don't give a s@%t attitude about wildlife and the environment...I now have to vote. I don't think a person who is willing to pay people to massacre wolves, has a hate for a species(HILTER ANYONE?), should be anywhere near running this country! How can we trust that someone like that, no respect for life or injustice, will have that for the People of this country when we need it the most? I am NOT a HUGE fan of Barack Obama, or a big fan of a lot of the issues the Democratic party stands for....but, I can't sit here and just watch someone like that get so close to running our country! I WON'T! Someone has to be the voice of those beautiful creatures, someone has to stand up for our planet! In their hands I fear for all life, and our economy. The biggest issue to me is the life that's in our hands! If we don't take care of that(our planet, wildlife, ourselves), what use would a better economy do for us a few years down the road? When the world goes to pot, we'll have to spend all that money to fix it in a hurry! Think people! God bless it! THINK!!

Ok .... I'm done for now.

I don't agree with you...ok, republicans are not perfect, but democrats are not perfect too. I don't believe in Obama, I'm affraid of him, if he lies or not...because a politician can be a good actor and saying the better for winning. I think they are all like that...but....Obama is so socialist, a big step near communism. I think the only things about Sarah Palin where I don't agree are the hunt (I hate hunting), the no respect of environment and for the guns. But for the other things (I think if I know all), I totally agree.

McCain could have die for his country, Obama not...

I don't want to fight with you, it's only my opinion. Saving the world by war or letting do and everybody dies, you have to choose and for people who igniore history, war has always existed and there is a reason we are alive today. I think it has to do sacrifices for saving lives.
And I have only socialist friends ! (but I never speak about politic because I want no conflicts and socialists or not, I love them, but I can't bear communism enven if I believe I've also communist friends...but I forget it, as long as possible)

[Astrologically speaking, Obama is more dangerous than McCain because Obama is dangerous for everyone (even for those who will vote for him !) and McCain, only in war against ennemies. I believe in astrology and this is not me who has said that, but the other members in a french forum. I don't know if they're right or wrong, we'll see that....]

It's so easy to destroy republicans because of Bush...but every republicans are NOT like Bush !!!!! it's so easy to take a revenge like that, puninshing every members of a political party... I think Reagan has been a good president for you, and he was republican ! so, he was Bush too ?

If 9/11 attacks didn't exist, Bush maybe didn't want to go on war with Iraq.

I've seen a video from US TV where Obama speak about "my muslim faith"....and now, I'm a bit more affraid....I'm sure it was a lapsus [According to Freud, in his early psychoanalytic theory it represents a missed deed that hides an unconscious desire.
] so that's why I'm affraid

This is not racism...this is fear and distrust. I've many friends throughout the planet.

And for the no respect of environment, we don't need a politician with green ideas...we can ourselves make efforts and more than very politicians together. We are free to do that, after all ! and sure that we can make more than a politician can do

It's so rare that I think and speak about politic but I think here is a crucial challenges for the world...

Obama has no speech problems because he is sure of him (he's Leo, don't forget it), and does not suffer as much pressure as its candidate, it' so easy, and MacCain has to bear Bush stupidities on his back so for him it's a big challenge and defending himself is dificult. If being democrat has become fashionable, I do not want to follow this way and I prefer stay myself.

I don't believe in media, I can't bear them anymore...often wrong, and there are their favorite so they do all for him and destroy the other, here the republicans (like always). Why there is not neutrality in the media ? in the newspapers ? It's maybe  because of them I think politic like that !! I don't like media support..because the is always the same support, for the same party etc...even in France, always for the socialists...ya basta ! (I'm just angry) lol I prefer neutrality in the media...

For weird stuff Sarah could do on her, I think she is very a phobic person, she's affraid of all around her, she feels persecuted....no ?

I just would share my opinion, and for Obama, I just hope with all my heart I'm wrong, after all, I'm not in the USA for seeing that...so I can be wrong

Of course dear! You can express your opinion on here without starting a fight or argument! I respect your right to have an opinion.
I don't hate republicans, but I can't agree with their ideas about the planet and the environment. Either side someone chooses there is bad stuff. I don't like Obama, I don't care for Democrats beliefs, but I just CAN'T stomach Sarah Palin and her eradication attitude. I was going to sit out of the polls this election, but my heart and my beliefs just won't let me. I just can't stand injustice to creation and the sentient beings in it(including us). McCain is 72 years old...that's how close Palin is to running our country. It may be the wrong reasons, may be the right one, but all i know is that it's what I believe is right for me.
