What character?
« on: January 22, 2013, 08:55:19 PM »
If you guys could see Michael play any role on any show or movie which would you like. To make it more interesting would you prefer him to play that role in his younger years or now. Like if there was a time machine you know what I mean lol...

Hi!
I would like to see him play in tons of movies of course! But I can say two of them I most would like him to be in.
And that is:
Notting Hill: It's such a beautiful and romantic movie With Michael in the lead part it would be perfect!
Mission Impossible 2: Tough action movie, with a lot of nice nice scenes... Would have looved to see him hanging bare-chested in the mountain wall (closeup of course) It was very nice with Tom Cruise in that part, but with Michael it would have been even more "interesting"
Since I'm allowed to choose his age (thanks Miranda ), I think I would let him act in these movies when he was in his "middle Pretender-age" At that time he was just goooorgeous!

Hi girls! Miranda, Noomi! And everything, everything, everything!!

Very interesting topic. I had also thought of Michael and represented in other films and television series. With its sports data he could play in any action movie, well, let's say in the movie "Transporter" or such as "Die Hard" Bruce Willis instead. Although the role of age and I think Michael under force. Now watch the TV series " Fringe ". There is in him a very funny character, Walter Bishop. Such an eccentric professor. I think that Michael would have played this role better.

How about Rick Castle, in 'Castle'. He is a writer who works with the NYPD to get inspiration for his books. Michael is a writer too, he would be very much at home in this role. Not that I have anything against Nathan Fillian who plays the part at the moment he is quite a hunk in his own right. At least we would be able to see more of Michael if he had a role like that in a TV series.

I totally aggree with you,Jan! The role is perfect for Michael! He would have had the chance to show many of his skills as an actor, the role contains so many different happenings, relations and emotions... And we would have had the very great pleasure to see him in all thouse various scenes!

Anyway i have been reed an interview of many years ago in which Michael say something about he doesn't like the ambient of
Hollywood beacause he perfectly know how people can be distroyed...smart guy
well, if i have the opportunity to meet him, i sure tell him how wonderful he is...of course before i become red in my face...i'm a shy person

Thanks for bringing back such a fun topic!!

I have seriously thought about Michael playing the role of Christian Grey (from the Fifty Shades of Grey books). Of course, he would be much older than the character is in the book, but then that could always be changed. It is Hollywood after all!!

I've also thought Michael would be great as serial killer Dexter in the Showtime series of the same name.

You know Karen, I have read the 50 shades trilogy twice and I have imagined Michael as Christian every time. I know he is really too old for the part but even so I couldn't get that image out of my mind all the time I was reading it.
I guess great minds 'do' think alike.

Not Dexter though I wouldn't like him as a serial killer.

Deviousdevil I can not get the image out of my mind of Michael playing the role of Christian Grey. He would be so good with it.

Have you seen Iowa? Michael does play an awesome bad guy. He would do well as Dexter. Do you watch the series? Dexter isn't a bad guy really.

Yes I did see him in Iowa, although he played the part extremely well I didn't like to see him like that. I don't watch Dexter but I am sure there are people who enjoy the series, it isn't on here until 10pm and at that time I like to go to bed and read for an hour or so. If there is anything on TV that I want to see after that time I record it.
Michael can play anything and make an excellent job of it I just wish we could see him more often than we have of late.

It's hard to imagine our Mikey as a serial killer isn't it? But I do think he would do a great job with it. It would be interesting to say the least.

As far as Fifty Shades .... I can't think of anyone else playing the part BUT Michael!
