Dearest Charlotte

Before I harrass JSW again I thought that you might be able to answer these questions.

What Kind of frame do the paintings have?

Do they have some kind of booklet which explains what kind of thoughts/inspirations are behind each picture?

Have you decided which picture you wanted and have you bought it yet?

LOL Smokey

Dearest Smokey!
Am not sure about the frames. Basically very simple (black?) ones that would go with anything I suppose.

Yes, I got one! One of the ones that was listed as sold. I put it in my own frame.  Might ask Jamie if it would be any cheaper for you if you purchased UNFRAMED? Weight-wise it would cost less to ship? Rolled up in a tube is much cheaper I think. No haven't hung it up anywhere yet because I don't know where to hang it.  I am deciding on a companion for it. Decided am not taking all my $$$ with me when I die so may as well spend as much as I can on MTW!  I donated a fair share to all those Scarcity performances plus all the bus fares! Maybe I should start an MTW fund for future expenses?

No, I didn't get any so-called booklet with the picture.

I don't think you'd be harrassing Jamie. And I don't even know if it's HER answering each time. There's a whole group that works there...so whoever gets your email, probably answers...  And using your CC is very safe.  Once you're ready to purchase, I would CALL the phone number and give the CC no. over the phone...not in the email.  Just safer that way. JMHO!

Let us know which one you finally choose.

Hope this helps...

Thanks for the suggestions about the frame  and putting in a tube.  Did yours come in the frame when you purchased it?  My concern now is if I did ship it over in a tube rolled up, could it be damaged (like the paint cracking of something) but I'm sure someone could give me the information I guess from the site.  Is it like some kind of Coop that sells alot of different art or is it privately owned (by MTW or JSW) business.

I still haven't decided which picture I want yet, but considering that this afternoon my hubby came home and asked if he could buy a new ute and my response was no. I now have to pick my timing very carefully.  You know when he is near unconsciousness or very drunk (which is near never).

Anyway wish me luck!

Yes, Smokey, saying "no" to the new ute (what's that?) has now placed you in the delicate position of having to choose your timing VERY carefully!!! Of course, if you'd have purchased the ute there probably wouldn't have been any extra funds to purchase the art, right?

Yep!  Thats right.

BTW Charlotte have you got the list of what has been sold.  I stupidly deleted the letter I received from JSW whilst cleaning up my emails.  And last night I couldn't find the topic that has them listed (So annoying when you cant find what your looking for, and then find it when you dont need it).

Lots of love

So far I think sold MTW pieces are:  FAITH, KNEEL, and MYTH.   By now could be more!  I'm glad to see them selling.  I wonder if business picked up after his stint in Scarcity and people realized he's still alive and well.

What's a UTE?  Sounds like an American First Nation People. First Nation being the NEW lingo instead of calling them American Indians.  I thank Canada for teaching me that one!

I may be wrong, but I think a UTE is a vehicle ...... possibly similar to what you would call an SUV or what we call a 4 X 4 ....

"American First Nation People" eh?  That's a new one on me ....... the term we tend to use is "Native Americans" (mind you, to quote a character from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" ... "I've only just learned not to call you lot (Americans) B----y Colonials.....") LOL

Well I'll be danged!  Live and learn LOL!!!!  Yeah, I learned about the First Nation people thing when I was purchasing the Hudson Bay (Le Baie) Point Blankets in Quebec.  They immediately corrected me and then there was a whole write up that came with my Point Blanket.  Surprisingly, the blankets originate in England!  Go figure!  I love them. Bought 2....and on-going....

BTW I think I was a Pilgrim or something on the Mayflower coming over from England in one of my other lives.  When visiting the replicated ship, I had the strangest feeling walking around inside and just knew where things were and pointed things out even before getting on the ship.  Did the same thing driving around the North of England near Leeds and York.  Had the weirdest feelings I was there before and knew how to get to places I had never been or seen.  Yes, I believe in reincarnation!

Oh yes we call them 4x4's and SUV's also...  But never heard of a Ute.  I'll google it...

A ute is probable like a small pick up truck. I guess thats what you probably call them in US.
