Well done Karen ....... once again you've come up with a great idea!!  Most sites have a FAQ section ...... and now the JSH forum has one, I'm sure that it will be really popular ..... I wish you well with it

Cheers

Question:  Can you please explain what is a CHILD BOARD and the difference between a CHILD BOARD and the rest of the forum?  Are the postings different?

Thanks, Hon!!! Doing a great job!  You have the BEST MTW site!!!!

Hey Huntress haven't heard from you in a while.  Hows things been?  Okay I hope.

What does offline to on-line status mean on this forum and what do you mean by delete this account for users preference?  As you know I am not computer literate.

Sorry Huntress! I thought you wanted your account deleted. MY MISTAKE!

There is no 'delete this account' in users preferences to preserve the conversations here on the board.

If you want your account removed all you need to do is send me a private message!

Gosh Charlot! I'm sorry, can't believe I missed your question

For a Child Board it's just a way to keep the forum more organized. And no, the postings aren't different.

Take the On TV sections for instance where I have:

The Pretender
Crossing Jordan
2000 Malibu Road

Imagine using ONE board for all of our posts in these topics ....

Thank you for your comments, BTW! I am always working to make it BETTER!

I miss your nightly emails Charl!

Hey Smokey!!! Glad to have you back

There is a setting somewhere in each of your profiles that allows the board to show whether or not you are online or offline. That is a personal setting there, but I can always change it to show who's online/offline if everyone would prefer. It's up to you girls/guys!

Is this like when you look at who is signed on at bottom of forum screen, where it shows someone is hidden.

Yes and no Smokey.

The other setting, when you're viewing the posts and is shows who posted it, if I changed this setting, a little computer icon would show up under the person's display pic showing who is and who isn't online
