Former DAYS Actor in Broadway Play
February 13, 2009

Former DAYS star Michael T. Weiss (ex-Dr. Mike Horton) will be co-starring in the Broadway play Impressionism at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York City beginning in March. The love story is about an international photojournalist and a New York gallery owner who have an unexpected intimate encounter which leads them to realize that there is quite an art to repairing broken lives. Impressionism also stars Tony Award winners Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen, was written by Michael Jacobs, and is directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. Michael plays the part of Douglas Finch.

As DAYS fans may recall, Michael T. Weiss portrayed Dr. Mike Horton from 1985 until 1990. During his five-year span as the most recasted character in the history of the show, his character of Mike romanced Dr. Robin Jacobs, fell for April Ramirez, had a brief fling with Ivy Jannings, and tried to pursue a romance with Janice Barnes, Mickey and Maggie's foster daughter. He fathered a child with Robin named Jeremy Horton. Out of all the actors who've portrayed Mike Horton throughout the years, Michael T. Weiss was always my personal favorite. The role was most recently portrayed by Roark Critchlow from 1994 until 1999.

Previews of Impressionism begin on Saturday, February 28 and the show runs from Thursday, March 12 until Saturday, July 5. Ticket prices range from $66.50 - $116.50. Call (212) 239-6200 or (800) 432-7250 to order your tickets or to purchase them online visit Telecharge.
