Here's a brief summary of the content found in this R-rated horror film. The Violence and Blood/Gore categories are both rated as extreme due to various lethal and bloody/gory murders that include the sight of stabbings, throats being slit, severed heads, hands and fingers, as well as copious amount of blood, projectile vomiting of maggots from a supernatural dog, and that dog savagely attacking someone.

Those scenes and the overall, supernatural-based, haunted house type material might be unsettling, suspenseful or downright frightening to some viewers. Those involved in such mayhem obviously have extreme cases of bad attitudes, while various characters smoke or drink, and some brief drug use/dealing is present.

Profanity consists of at least 49 "f" words, many other expletives and a large amount of colorful phrases, some of which also occur in various songs on the soundtrack. Some non-explicit, sexually related comments are made (including references to oral sex), a bare-breasted woman in a thong bottom is seen after fooling around with a man, while some scantily clad women are also seen and a woman has something of a supernatural/nightmarish sexual encounter with something or someone.

ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE

Some guys buy drugs from Eddie Mack's street men.

We see a drug deal going down in a flashback, while we briefly see another man smoking drugs from a pipe.

Maurice has a large joint, but complains that he can't get it lit.

After Maurice claims that he's a melting pot (mixed ethnicity), someone else jokingly states that he's been smoking pot.

Pearl has a drink.

Patrick tries to open a bottle of wine to share with Cynthia, but never gets it open.

In a flashback, Lupovitch has a drink, and later he gives Jimmy some drugs for free-basing, wanting him to be involved in their drug business. Jimmy turns them down and so Lupovitch and others force Jimmy to smoke a drug via a pipe and we see him reacting to the drug.

Shotgun drinks liquor.

Cynthia pours Pearl a large glass of liquor that she then drinks.

We see a mirror with what looks like cocaine on it in Eddie Mack's place.

Jimmy makes Lupovitch smoke the same drug from a pipe that he earlier had to smoke.

BLOOD/GORE

After one man is dragged inside a house and attacked, we see blood splatter onto a second man still on the outside.

Tia and the others find part of a bloody human jaw on the floor.

Patrick and others find what looks like blood oozing out of the floor, and then see more blood on piping down in the basement.

The group finds a skeleton buried in a sub-basement, and Maurice takes a ring off the hand (by breaking off the finger).

We see all sorts of gooey stuff running through a skeleton as it slowly reforms back into what looks like a flesh and blood man. As it does so - during various scenes - we see all sort of gooey internal organ shots of the creature.

During a nightmare/supernatural occurrence, we see Cynthia lying on top of the bed in just her tank top and panties, sleepily rolling around in an increasing amount of blood that eventually becomes a large pool of it.

A man is bloody after being shot and then repeatedly stabbed. We then see blood on the carpet and floor as he's dragged away, and blood on Pearl's hands as she grieves and grabs that carpet.

Blood splatters against the wall as a dog attacks a man and we then see various brief, grisly and bloody shots of the attack.

As another man then comes upon that scene, we see some maggots in the dog's mouth and the canine then proceeds to do some projectile vomiting of copious amounts of maggots onto that man. We then see many maggots everywhere, as they fall into people's cups and food in the room below and then rain down upon everyone.

We see a severed and bloody hand as Jimmy retrieves his formerly stolen ring from it.

A great deal of blood comes from a man's throat after it's been cut/slit open (the wound isn't graphically seen).

Jimmy kills another man (with blood from the throat) and grabs another man with us seeing blood splatter against a wall.

A man finds a great deal of blood on the floor and follows it into another room where he sees a dead woman's bloody legs sticking out of something.

Jimmy runs his knife along the top of a pool table, causing blood to flow from the "wound."

Jimmy causes various floating shards of glass to impale a man's back (with bloody results), and we then see Jimmy taking his knife to the man's throat (we later see him carrying the severed and bloody, but still alive and talking head). We later see more bloody shots of this and another severed head.

Jimmy puts his hand over a man's mouth and when he removes it, the man's mouth and nose are gone, replaced by just skin.

Various dead people grab and presumably kill a man as we see lots of blood.

Another dead person in the wall grabs another person by the throat, forcing the second person to break off the dead man's arm from the wall.

DISRESPECTFUL/BAD ATTITUDE

Those responsible for killing Jimmy Bones back in 1979 obviously have extreme cases of both.

Various characters are involved in selling/buying drugs, including Eddie Mack and two of his men (who also admit to stealing a person's car), while Lupovitch is a corrupt cop in cahoots with Eddie Mack.

The group finds a skeleton buried in a sub-basement (and doesn't report it), and Maurice takes a ring off the hand (by breaking off the finger).

Viewers who don't like psychic/occult material may find Pearl and her séance objectionable.

FRIGHTENING SCENES

Many of the following scenes are accompanied by ominous/suspenseful/scary music, while scenes listed under "Violence" and/or "Blood/Gore" may also be unsettling, suspenseful and/or scary to some viewers.

A large black dog chases a man through an alley and then up to his building where he then hears it thumping at the front door.

After paying for some drugs, two men must enter Jimmy's old and dilapidated house at night to pick them up. Slowing make their way through the house, the men open a door and a large black dog suddenly lunges at them. We then see large and menacing looking shadows looming over/behind the men. After racing out, the men briefly rest on the porch, only to be grabbed and then yanked inside (from where we hear sounds of deadly violence and screaming).

Patrick and his small group explore the dark and foreboding house, eventually splitting up and we then see various menacing shadows moving around near them as well as points of view of the ghost watching/approaching them. During this, Tia opens a door to encounter the menacing black dog with red glowing eyes.

A bedroom wall turns into a writhing mass of the dead and we see various hands, arms, heads and then bodies emerging from the muck, all while one man lies on a bed listening to headphones, unaware of the hand and arms reaching for him.

As Pearl looks at an old photo of her and Jimmy, his head suddenly turns and looks at her (in the otherwise still photo).

Cynthia slowly makes her way through the dark and foreboding house as we hear voice-like noises. Later, she and others make their way down into a sub-basement - filled with flies and a bad smell - where they discover a buried skeleton with a knife still in it. During this, Cynthia thinks she sees a ghost in the corner of the room.

During a nightmare/supernatural occurrence, we see Cynthia lying on top of the bed in just her bra and panties, sleepily rolling around in an increasing amount of blood that eventually becomes a large pool of it.

That scene is inter-cut with another where Pearl is holding a séance that becomes spookier as it progresses (with the table shaking, etc.).

Lupovitch and Eddie Mack hold their guns on Jimmy and his bodyguard in a flashback. After they force Jimmy to smoke some drugs at gunpoint, he slices Lupovitch with his knife, but is then repeatedly shot. Lupovitch then orders that everyone present in the room, including the bodyguard, take part in stabbing Jimmy so that they'll all be guilty of the crime (and holds a gun on some to make them do so). Everyone then reluctantly participates, including Pearl, but Jimmy impales himself on the knife she holds.

Two severed, but still alive and talking heads of Jimmy's victims are nervous when they see the wall of the writhing dead. He eventually puts them into it, and then repeatedly sticks another man (with his body still intact) into the wall amidst the various dead and writhing bodies.

A person follows another person that we already know to be dead.

Various characters have run-ins with Jimmy and other dead creatures and then try to make their way out of the house as it collapses.

An extreme amount of ominous, suspenseful and traditional "haunted house" type music plays during the film.

Various songs have profanity in them including uses of the following: The "f" and "s" words, slang for male genitals, "damn," "ass" and the term "nigger."

A song has lyrics that include something about "making love" and "I need you bad."

PROFANITY

At least 49 "f" words (17 used with "mother"), 43 "s" words, 2 slang terms using male genitals ("d*ck"), 1 slang term for breasts ("rack"), 20 asses, 12 damns, 10 hells, 1 S.O.B., 8 uses of "G-damn," 4 of "Oh my God," 3 of "Jesus Christ" and 1 each of "Jesus" and "My God" as exclamations (some of which are heard in songs).

SEX/NUDITY

A woman with Eddie Mack wears a bra-like halter-top and tight short shorts that expose some skin. Later, Lupovitch tells Eddie Mack that he should get a little something extra for his work for the drug dealer and runs his fingers up inside the bottom of the short pants leg on those shorts (but nothing else happens as he gets paid instead).

After Lupovitch catches sight of Tia (an older teenager/young woman), he comments to Jeremiah (her stepfather) about her "nice rack" and then suggestively asks, "Does she…?" while sucking on the end of a frozen treat (implying oral sex).

We see a not completely realistic looking, bare-breasted woman in a painting that Cynthia is working on.

Patrick and Cynthia passionately kiss and we then see him lying on top of her on a bed doing the same (both are clothed and there's some heavy breathing with that).

Later, Cynthia is in bed by herself and a person slides under the covers with her. Believing that to be Patrick, she sexily tells him he can stay, but that there will be no getting fresh. As this scene is inter-cut with another, we don't ever see the other person, but do see a hand moving under the covers and then seemingly caressing her breasts, and then later moving down toward her crotch (both of which she tries to stop). We then see her -- by herself -- lying on top of the bed in just her tank top and panties, sleepily rolling around in an increasing amount of blood.

We see people dancing or hanging out at the club once it's open and the camera focuses on various women's clothed rear ends or chests.

A woman gives Maurice the come-hither look, running her hands along her body - showing some cleavage -- and suggestively along her lips. He then follows her upstairs where he eventually finds her in a room, alluringly standing before him in her transparent clothing that shows her bra and panties beneath it (as she makes some moaning/pleasured sounds). Nothing else sexual happens, however, as the scene turns to horror.

We see a tarot card that shows a drawing of a bare-breasted woman.

A woman states, "I want to do that again" as Eddie Mack gets off her. We see the woman's bare breasts and most of her bare butt in her thong bottom. He then says something about tickling her "pink tweeter" (or something like that) all night and that "I've got something to give you."

Pearl shows some cleavage.

SMOKING

Jeremiah smokes a few times (cigarettes and cigars), as does Lupovitch, while some miscellaneous characters also smoke.

TENSE FAMILY SCENES

Cynthia states that she never knew her father, doesn't know anything about him, and that her mother won't speak about him.

Two characters from different families see that their parents are dead or as they die, but there's little or no time for grieving.

TOPICS TO TALK ABOUT

That one can't bury their past wrongdoings without them eventually being unearthed.

We see that Pearl is an occultist/psychic (she reads tarot cards and holds séances, etc.).

Interracial relationships (Kevin's father is black and his stepmother is white).

Whether blood and gore or "less is more" suspense is more frightening in regards to horror movies.

VIOLENCE

After being chased by a supernatural dog into his building, a man grabs his rifle and fires two shots into it (but it doesn't hurt the dog since it's not real).

We see a brief flashback of Lupovitch shooting his gun at someone (seen from the person's point of view).

A man is yanked inside Jimmy's old house (seen from the outside) and we hear sounds of violence coming from inside it and see blood splattering onto another man still on the outside. That second man is then dragged inside (with his fingernails ripping up the wood) and we hear more sounds of violence and screaming.

Lupovitch and Eddie Mack hold their guns on Jimmy and his bodyguard in a flashback. Jimmy blows out a gas furnace, breaks a light bulb and then throws the switch, causing a huge explosion and resultant fireball that knocks people down and spreads through the house, quickly engulfing the whole thing in flames. He then throws a knife that impales a door just as Maurice and Cynthia close it.

Shotgun fires several shots at the reincarnated Jimmy, but they obviously don't hurt him. Jimmy then has this man by the throat, and then slices that part open (not graphically seen, but we do see blood running from the man's hands that are at his throat).

Jimmy kills another man (with blood from the throat) and grabs another man with us seeing blood splatter against a wall.
